Elephants in the savanna
Our souvenir is created on a long piece of cork oak bark. In the manufacture of the product, the "Decoupage" technique with painting elements was used acrilic.
The elephant is the largest social animal on Earth. The elephant is depicted on the logos of various goods, on coats of arms, flags, on banknotes of some countries, in cinematography and animation. Elephants are listed in the Red Book because of the tusks, behind which hunt illegally. In Indian elephants, only males have tusks. Both males and females have African tusks. Elephants live 60-70 years. Usually groups of females are created and cubs. Males form separate herds. When moving, the mother constantly touches the baby elephant with its trunk, tail, leg, to know where he is. If the baby elephant needs rest, he touches the front legs of the mother. Elephants are well tamed, they have
good hearing. They emit sounds with a frequency of 15-35 Hz (audibility up to 10 km.). The famous sound of elephants is trumpeting. Developed memory. Elephants can recognize themselves in the mirror (a sign of self-awareness), just like dolphins and monkeys. Elephants throughout their lives 6 sets of molars are changing. They feed mainly on grass, leaves, bark, and fruits of trees. Drink from 100 to 300 liters per day. In nature, they can do without water for 5 days. The painting depicts an elephant, a female elephant and a little elephant walking along the African savannah.
