Leopard is the most common representative of the cat family, after the domestic cat. Curved sharp claws of the animal grow up to 55 mm. The leopard is excellent at climbing trees and dragging the remains of the meal onto them. The predator hunts on the ground, but can ambush monkeys on a tree. Leopard paws are soft pads that help the animal silently approach the prey at a close distance and overtake it with one powerful jump. Animals lead solitary Lifestyle. The leopard has its own territory, which is 10–80 km ?. The territorial areas of the female and the male may coincide. Meeting on one the territory of the two males ends in a fierce battle. The location of the spots on the skin of each leopard is unique - there are simply no two identical exists, as there are no people with the same fingerprints. In captivity, leopards live on average twice as long as in the wild. The weight of an adult leopard is comparable to the weight of an adult - up to 75-80 kilograms.
