The composition is made on glass, in a narrow frame of light brown color. The shells were collected on the shores of the Atlantic Ocean, in the southern region of Portugal - the Algarve.
Walking along the ocean coast, on the beaches we meet a large number of all kinds of shells. Shells are amazing creatures. They can have different shapes, colors and even patterns - it depends on the glands that the molluscs have. The surface of the shells can also be different - rough, smooth, twisted, with stripes, in the form of a fan ... The shell is the external skeleton of mollusks, their fortress, which they themselves build throughout their life. The mollusk grows, and its outer protection is the shell. Layer by layer, sea inhabitants fold the edges of their mantle, forming limestone crystals from the salts of seawater. In winter, molluscs grow more slowly than in summer, which leads to the formation of seams and convex growth rings on the shell. By them, as by annual rings on a cut of a tree, you can calculate the age of the mollusk.
