Our souvenir "Soap dish" is created from "Vieira" seashells collected on the shores of the Atlantic Ocean, Algarve province, Portugal. The uniqueness of these molluscs is that each mollusk has two shells of different shapes and colors - flat pink and convex white. Our souvenir consists of different shells of this mollusk.
Walking along the ocean coast, on the beaches, we collect a large number of all kinds of shells. Shells are amazing creatures.
They can have different shapes, colors and even patterns - it depends on the glands that the molluscs have. The surface of the sinks can also
be different - rough, smooth, twisted, with stripes, in the form of a fan ... The shell is the external skeleton of mollusks, their strength, which they themselves
build throughout life. The mollusk grows, and its outer protection is the shell. Layer by layer, the sea dwellers fold the edges
its mantle, forming limestone crystals from the salts of sea water. In winter, shellfish grow more slowly
than in summer, because of this, seams and convex growth rings are formed on the shell. Along them, like on annual rings
on a tree cut, you can calculate the age of the mollusk.
